Caleb’s Rating:
One of my first stops for lunch upon moving back to Parker Colorado was an old favorite: Johnny’s Asian Bistro. Located in an older strip mall, from the outside Johnny’s doesn’t look very impressive, but upon entering the establishment you will be surprised by the intimate, sparsely lit restaurant. Disclaimer – I’ve been going to this restaurant for years, even back in the days before Johnny’s when it was simply known as China Station. when Johnny and his wife took over, they gave the place a much needed makeover and opted for a more contemporary, high class feel. And don’t let the jazzy piano or dim lighting fool you, because Johnny’s is one of the best local deals for healthy Asian food. Featuring Chinese, Thai, and other Asian cuisines, the average lunch plate sits at a very reasonable $8-10. Dinner prices are a little higher, but your lunch will always include a soup of your choice (the eggdrop and hot and sour are always a tough mental debate for me, I love them both) as well as either white or fried rice, and an eggroll. Hot tea is a great compliment to your lunch as well! Johnny and his wife usually are manning the duties of server and cashier, and both are very cordial and attentive. I’ve never left unhappy – or hungry. The portions are generous, and delicious! Highly recommended.
