Takoda Tavern Parker Colorado
Hey there fellow Parkerites! Sorry, It’s already mid February and I haven’t updated this darn blog. I need to get out and about more it seems! I did get out and about for a very nice lunch this week though, and this post is going to be about my lunch at Takoda Tavern. This bright, open bar and restaurant is located just off Parker road and Hess, and it’s been in business for a while now.
Takoda Tavern doesn’t have a huge amount of space, and it’s not the best place if you’re looking for a bar that has things like pool tables or arcade games, but I think where Takoda really shines is their awesome open patio and live music acts. The menu at Takoda tavern is varied and will have something for everyone in your party, with a wide variety of food styles. Pub classics like burgers and sandwiches are served along side more specialty platters – even spaghetti and meatballs! This makes Takoda Tavern a great place to even bring kids, and I would go as far to say it’s probably one of the more family friendly places if you’re looking to have a drink while you have the kiddos along. The patio is spacious and has a great view of the front range and Pike’s Peak, and when the weather is nice it’s the place to be to catch some sun while you sip on your brew. My favorites here include the blue cheese / bacon burger, and the fish tacos are also excellent.
Takoda Tavern also features a small stage and has some great music acts, including a monthly fixture, Anthony Russo – who is one of the best blues guitarists in the Denver metro area. Overall, it’s a great spot to grab a brew with friends and check out some local music.
